The API by example

In the examples, $EVERXCLOUD_API is the API base URL, $EVERXCLOUD_STREAM the streaming base URL and $EVERXCLOUD_API_KEY your API key.

REST API and scoped API keys
Everything the portal does is available under /v1: catalog, instances, SSH keys, balance and usage, spot exchange orders, reservations and hour packs. Lists are paginated by cursor and every creation request requires an Idempotency-Key.
- Create keys in the portal with only the scopes you need, such as instances:read, instances:write, billing:read or webhooks:manage.
- Send the key as Authorization: Bearer sk_live_…; it is shown once, stored hashed and can be revoked at any time.
- Amounts are integers in micro-units of their currency (1 unit = 1,000,000), always with a currency field: USD, EUR or GBP.

Machine templates and SSH access
Launch an instance from an offer with a ready-made template and one of your SSH keys, follow its state until it runs, then connect over SSH.
- Templates: ubuntu-cuda, pytorch, tensorflow, jupyter, vllm and comfyui.
- The instance gives its SSH host, port and user; EverXCloud Network machines connect directly or through a relay when direct access is not available.
- Stop, start or destroy instances from the API where the provider supports it: billing follows the state. Instance data is deleted when the instance is destroyed, so keep your own copies.

Webhooks and real-time streams
Subscribe your endpoints to instance, balance, top-up, quote, order and hour-pack events. Every delivery is signed, retried with growing delays and carries a delivery id (X-EverXCloud-Delivery) you can use to drop duplicates.
- Verify the X-EverXCloud-Signature header (t=…,v1=…) of each delivery with your endpoint secret.
- Events include instance.ready, instance.expiring, instance.terminated, balance.low, balance.topup, order.filled and credits.expiring.
- Market prices stream as Server-Sent Events: /v1/stream/market is public, /v1/stream/orders follows your own orders with an API key that has the exchange:read scope.
