What is Blackwell?
Blackwell is the NVIDIA GPU architecture that follows Hopper. It powers data center GPUs such as the B200, B300 and GB200, the RTX PRO Blackwell workstation cards and the GeForce RTX 50 series.
Why it matters when renting a GPU
Blackwell adds FP4 Tensor Core support, HBM3e on data center parts and NVLink 5, aimed at large-model training and inference.
Data center Blackwell figures are often published per system; compare per-GPU memory and bandwidth on each GPU page.
Worked example
EverXCloud describes 20 Blackwell-based models (including Blackwell Ultra and Grace Blackwell). The B200 carries 180 GB of HBM3e with NVLink 5 (1.8 TB/s).
Frequently asked questions
- Is B200 faster than H100?
- Yes, with more memory and newer Tensor Cores; the gain depends on precision and workload.
