What is GPU-hour?

A GPU-hour is one GPU used for one hour. GPU rental prices are quoted per GPU-hour, so a job's cost is the number of GPUs multiplied by the hours they run and the hourly price.

Why it matters when renting a GPU

Comparing per GPU-hour normalizes offers with different GPU counts per machine.

Count setup time, model downloads and idle time: they consume GPU-hours too.

Worked example

A fine-tuning run on 8 GPUs for 3 hours uses 8 × 3 = 24 GPU-hours. At an illustrative 2 currency units per GPU-hour (not an EverXCloud offer), the compute subtotal is 48 units before tax.

Frequently asked questions

Are EverXCloud prices per GPU or per machine?
EverXCloud shows prices per GPU-hour, excluding tax. Check the GPU count of each configuration for the machine total.
