What is On-demand vs reserved?

On-demand GPUs are rented by the hour with no commitment and released when you are done. Reserved GPUs are committed for a period, usually at a lower hourly rate, whether or not you use them.

Why it matters when renting a GPU

Reservations pay off only when utilization stays high. Short experiments and bursty workloads usually cost less on demand.

EverXCloud rents by the hour on a prepaid balance, without long-term contracts.

Worked example

A GPU reserved for a 30-day month is billed for 24 × 30 = 720 GPU-hours. If you use it 8 hours a day, utilization is 33.3% (240 ÷ 720), and the reserved rate must be under a third of the on-demand rate to break even.
